Update (news on PH 001 and next release announcement)

Since moving into my new home, I have taken my time working on 3 releases for two labels (this and my first label I co-run Dumpster Noise Records). The Funeral Parlor tapes are dubbed (sound amazing on cassette) and waiting on the artwork to be printed off. Thanks for your patience.

Secondly, I am proud to announce my next release through this label that will start production once the previous tape is out.

Funeral Parlor // Nihilarch split c25.

Funeral Parlor's (left picture) side embarks where his last works "I Saw You Again" and "Axis Flowers" left off giving off a sense of vulnerable purpose. Listening to the track "Believe" now, one can hear the sheer intimacy brought out through the track. The repeated "I love you" leaves the listener completely mesmerized. The second track "Tourist" is filled with field recordings when walking through the city of Houston. Perhaps one can pinpoint where he is.

And here is a description from a good friend of mine and is side b of the split Nihilarch (right picture):

"Nihilarch is Zane Chleboun from Orange County, California. Fueled by the philosophy of Emil Cioran and created in the depths of ongoing anxiety and depression, Nihilarch came into existence as a contemplation on the lowest degradations of human consciousness. Zane's synth-based project includes elements of power electronics, noise, and heavily distorted vocals on his first album, "The True Criterion" but he is currently in the process of adapting a more minimal approach to despair by focusing more on drone and ambient soundscapes for his new album, “Divinity and Deprivation” to be released on Perfect Hue this summer."

The track uploaded is entitled "Oracles Of Ash" takes a much less harsh route than his debut album and almost sounds beautiful until Zane's raspy vocals come into the mix. The other track "Sanctuary" caught me off guard because the track is so beautiful and is one of my personal favorites off this soon-to-be release. Entrancing synths repeat as inaudible vocals proceed until the harsh vocals bash your eardrums.

Again, I am a believer in quality over quantity and these are worth the wait. I can throw these releases out and feel like I've cheated someone or I can take my time and put out a quality release.
